Thumb-hole long range (Long Range) ammunition features a boned case primer and Nosler brass. The 150gr AccuBond is the final product of a series of rigorous scientific studies involving the Nosler Extreme Range Ballistics Laboratory. Using state of the art testing equipment and techniques, the laboratory was able to shrink the overall LRC round down to an extremely practical size. The scientists were able to bond an Everbrite core to the copper-plated long range bullet and reduce overall LRC weights as a result. The final step was to trim the jacket back to a streamlined shape. This critical step is critical for retaining the accuracy of the round as it nears its maximum velocity. While avid LRC shooters will make their ammunition perform across a variety of different temperatures, extreme pressures, and angles of fire, the primary goal is to get the ballistic signature downrange.
