The .270 Winchester Partition is a popular round for deer hunters, providing a long-range application without sacrificing the all-important short-range characteristics necessary for effective long-range hunting. While many may consider the Partition bullet an old standard, it has become increasingly popular in a number of up-and-coming calibers due to its high ballistic coefficient and bonded design. This bullet in particular has become highly respected for its long range performance and has been matched in performance with bonded ammunition of other brands. Nosler .270 Winchester Partition rounds use a dependable soft point that has long been identified as one of the more accurate bullets of Nosler. This Trophy Grade ammunition is manufactured to Nosler strict quality standards, and so you can trust that each and every round has been carefully weighed, polished, and cased for consistent performance. After 2 trips to the shooting range, about 10 hours, and about 50 spent rounds of this ammo, I have to say it is not for a Weatherby Vanguard at all. The variance is about 4 inches at 100 yds! When I use the Hornady 130 grain BTSP I get a 1.25 inch variance. I wish I knew why this was happening, but I will try this ammo in a Browning X-mark Hunter and see what happens… Report to come later…

No fault of opticsplanet, ordered three boxes of 270 win nosler partitions on two separate orders, opticsplanet sent them promptly with no issues, however when examining the rounds found the lead tips to be beyond deformed, some actually missing chunks of lead , others being totally mashed down , I have ordered nosler blemishes that were in much better shape, I actually think these were meant to be discarded by nosler an somehow got shipped instead??. I know stuff happens but not happy about three out of three boxes being sent in these condition, I have used there products for over 45 years an not had an issue.
