Introduced as late as 1963 this cartridge was soon to become the most popular in the line of .300 magnums. Unlike the predecessors .458, .264 and .338 Winchester Magnums it has a longer case and a rather short neck (.264) in order to increase the case capacity. As a rule of thumb the neck of a cartridge should be equal to the caliber or preferably a little longer, but experience has shown that the .300 Win. Mag. has not really suffered in this respect. It can still be used in a standard-length bolt action but this means that the heavier bullets must be seated rather deep and hereby occupy some of the powder space. Like the other .300 magnums it is at its best for hunting larger species like moose or elk at long range. The recoil is heavy, but most shooters will be able to handle it after some practice and handloads with lighter bullets are a good choice for this purpose. These bullets are at a great price. And are re-loadable They grouped 1/2" at 100 yards. Norma brass for reloading is awesome 180 grain nosler partitions Make a great bullet for elk and fly grate out of a 300 win mag.

Delivery was slow but product was nice and all boxes were in good shape. Groupings we’re close once my scope was dialed in. I would not use these cartridges for any game other than hog or deer within 200 yards.

Had about a 1- 1 and a half group at a hundred about a 4 inch group at 300. Maybe it will be good for a little hunting rifle just not up to my expectations. I want to be touching at 100 and sub moa at 300 and this ammo is just inconsistent

Picked this up cause it was all I could find at the time for my 300 win mag. this junk was all over the freaking place. one shot middle high one shot a foot to the left one shot a foot the the right at 75 yards. put in Hornady thinking my scope lost zero nope dead on 3 shot group with Hornady less than an inch out of my bergara. picked this up in 2 calibers shot some through my 6.5 thinking it had to be a bad batch. nope same result all over the freaking place wth how can any one use this garbage
