Doves are done. Federal Upland Steel serves up the patterns and power hunters need for hard-to-hit birds at a price that keeps them shooting all day. The loads are consistent and reliable, with high velocities that make the most of the steel payload. Theyre the perfect choice for doves and other light upland game, especially in areas that require the use of non-lead shot. Mike –
I have a Henry single shot that breaks open and ejects the spent cartridge so that you can load another round. The cartridge expands after firing, so it gets stuck in the chamber and won’t eject. While hunting that makes it impossible to reload for timely follow ups. I had to break a long stick so I could shove it up the barrel and force the cartridge out. Never had this happen on any other Federal steel shot rounds, just this upland one. I’m sure it’s be fine in a pump action tho. I haven’t tried that yet.
