A .300 Win Mag non-lead bullet Federal Premium TSX 165gr is a heavy-duty, all-copper tipped bullet designed for deep penetration and explosive expansion. It travels fast and hits hard putting pressure on your magazine clip and on the bolt face allowing you to get the most out of your bow and muzzle. The one-piece copper construction of the .300 magnum 165gr Barnes TSX Bullet allows it to penetrate quickly, expand on impact and retain almost 100 percent of its weight. For sheer accuracy this .300 mm caliber non-lead bullet from Federal Premium is an excellent choice. GODAGRIP –
I've handloaded for over 30 years and when the Barnes Solid Copper came out I gave them a try in 130 gr for my Browning A-Bolt. Since copper doesn't weight the same as lead the Barnes copper bullet is usually longer than a typical lead bullet in order to achieve the same weight and most times this requires a faster rate of twist to stabilize the longer bullet. I came across this when I started shooting service class with my AR and we were using the Sierra 69gr Match Kings, we had to switch barrels from a 1 in 11 to a 1 in 7 to get 1/4 MOA groups at 100 yards, the 1 in 11 would throw them all over the place and I spent too much money and time trying to develop a load that worked…..the 1 in 7 corrected the problem immediately. Just a word of caution when selecting an all copper bullet…….Happy Shooting and Hunting !
