Being a retired P.O. – my daughter was accustomed to me carrying a weapon daily for many years, and with the increase in crime – she decided to obtain an FOID card and purchase a weapon for personal safety. Unfamiliar with weapons / ammunition she asked me for instruction & advise.I suggested a class on firearm safety and she agreed. After which she decided to purchase a revolver and she again requested my assistance in purchasing ammunition. My suggestion to her is the subject of the ammunition described above. Range ammunition as well as carry ammunition.Her first firing of the weapon went well due to her preparation and her accuracy improved also.All in all – the class, preparation of range procedure and the actual firing of the weapon reduced her anxiety and assisted in her confidence of handling a weapon.She is now considering classes for a conceal / carry license.
