Berger Hybrid Hunter Bullets are designed with a thin, J4 Precision Jacket. These offer the ideal balance between projectile weight and expansion. The Berger Hybrid Hunter Bullets allow for a two- to three-inch wound channel, with a 15-inch final wound diameter, making these ideal for big-game hunting. The boat tail hollow point creates a large wound opening, and the increased caliber and weight allow for deep penetration. Plus, the larger wound cavities create more stopping power for quicker kills. Our ballistics team, using state of the art 3-D computer modeling, designed these Classic Rifle Bullets to be much more efficient than existing bullets. We achieve this by a scientific process that starts with small cores, filling only half the case with an incredible base. This allows the core to expand first, before securing it with an extended O-ring, then drives it into a much larger O-ring. This allows the core and jacket to continually expand, ideally creating a wound cavity the size of a dinner plate. Please note that these bullets do not expand in the magazine, and so must pass through a chamber first.
