I used to shoot Winchester ballistic silvertips (very comparable specs on bullet and ballistics) but they are no longer available. I've shot two boxes of these at 300 yards and they are more accurate than my eyes are anymore. At my best round I put six in a row into a 2.5 inch pattern at 300 yards which for me is stupendous.Note, I am using a custom 1:12 twist barrel which works perfect for these beasts. If you have a 1:10 or 1:8 twist rate, you may want to go to a heavier/slower slug. On my Tikka 1:10 barrel the similar Winchester BST's were spinning too fast at this velocity and you couldn't find them after 200 yards sometimes. 180's at 2900 fps were spot on, but I don't like to lob things. From my spreadsheet on these bullets.Caliber 0.308InchesBullet Weight150GrainsBullet Length1.22InchesBarrel Twist12Inches/turnmuzzle velocity3310fpsTemperature60degrees Fahrenheit (59 is standard)Pressure29.92inches of mercury (29.92 is standard)Sg =1.63(1:10 gives you 2.34 on these)Sg shouldn't be less than 1.4. If Sg is greater than about 2.0, you may gain some accuracy by going to a slower twist barrel.
